Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce possibility of an in-wheel motor type vehicle becoming impossible to travel.SOLUTION: A vehicle drive device 1 according to the present invention drives an in-wheel motor 2 provided at a wheel of a vehicle and having a plurality of windings electrically separated from each other, and it includes: a vehicle body side wireless power transmission part 11 provided on a vehicle body side and connected to a storage battery 3 which is a direct current power supply; wheel side wireless power transmission parts 21, 22 provided on the wheel side and capable of transmitting power bi-directionally in a wireless manner with the vehicle body side wireless power transmission part 11; an inverter 310 connected to the wheel side wireless power transmission part 21 and connected to one end of the plurality of windings of the in-wheel motor 2; and an inverter 320 connected to the wheel side wireless power transmission part 22 and connected to the other end of the plurality of windings of the in-wheel motor 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
