Abstract:
To reduce danger in receiving the notification for the arrival of an E-mail by a driver in a car navigation device 1.
The car navigation device 1 notifies the driver of the arrival of E-mail. In the car navigation device 1, information regarding the running speed of a self vehicle is acquired (a step 315). Based on the acquired information, when the running speed of the self vehicle is larger than a specified value, the notification of the arrival of E-mail to the driver is prohibited (a step 320).
