Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete the charging of a battery before a vehicular start clock-time while securing the efficiency of charging the battery using power from an external power source.SOLUTION: A vehicle includes: a motor for outputting power for travel; a battery enabled to charge by power from an external power source, for supplying the motor with power; a cooling device for cooling the battery using the power from the battery; and a control apparatus for activating the cooling device so as to cool the battery when charging the battery using the power from the external power source. Further, the control apparatus is configured to: receive a setting of a vehicular start clock-time set by a user; set cooling time of the battery on the basis of the user set start clock-time and charging-required time necessary for charging the battery; and activate the cooling device for the set cooling time when charging the battery using the power from the external power source.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
