To provide a vehicle lamp with a light guide capable of making the light guide uniformly emit light in a belt-shape and raising its light use efficiency.
The vehicle lamp is configured such that light emitted from a light emitting diode 30 is totally reflected by a plurality of reflecting elements 20s formed on a rear face section 20c after making the light emitted from the light emitting diode incident from a right end face 20a of the light guide 20, and is emitted from a front face section 20d to the front. Then, the light guide 20 is formed to extend in a horizontal direction crossing with a front and rear direction of a lamp with an approximately fixed thickness. Accordingly, the light guide 20 can be uniformly light-emitted in the belt-shape since the plurality of reflecting elements 20s are densely formed in a longitudinal direction of the light guide 20 formed as an elongated light-guiding pillar. Further, a lens section 20e for making the light emitted from the light emitting diode 30 incident so as to make it approximately parallel light against the horizontal surface is formed on the right end face 20a of the light guide 20. Consequently, the light use efficiency of the emitted light can be raised since the light emitted from the light guide 20 is scarcely diffused in the vertical direction.
