Abstract:
To provide a monitoring device for a vehicle not to fix an inputted image and besides to be capable of obtaining a further wider field of view and setting the optimum picture of a camera by a condition regarding brightness of the outside and a running state.
A reflecting element 16 is situated on the input side of a CCD camera 10, and filters 40-42 different in a kind from each other are situated on the outside surface thereof. An input direction or an input range of an image can be varied by varying the rotation angle of the reflecting element 16, and the filter 40 is selected to the external surface of the reflecting element 16 according to the condition of light, such as under direct sunlight.
