Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prolong the life of a semi-trailer tire having a multiaxial unit by providing a particularly wide web having a particular recess in an axial outer side, and specifying the width of the longitudinal groove of a vehicle outer side with respect to the groove width of a tire traveling road contact edge part.
CONSTITUTION: A tire 7 is attached so as to place a wide groove web 12 in the outer side face of a vehicle. Inside the wide groove web 12, only a recess 14 having no main extension direction is provided in a plane spread in circumferential and axial directions. That is, the recess 14 is round on the plane. A width I measured at half the depth of a groove between the longitudinal groove 11c of a depth 12 to 18 mm outside the vehicle and a tire traveling contact part 13 outside the vehicle is set to 25 to 40% of a tire traveling road contact surface width L. In addition, up to four of the loci 15 of the recess 14 are provided on the groove web 12 in the axial outer side, and each locus 15 includes substantially round 100 to 150 recesses 14.
