Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular power supply device which is constituted of an inverter and a converter and to achieve discharging of electric charge of a smoothing capacitor mounted on the inverter within a target discharging time.SOLUTION: A vehicular power supply device comprises: an inverter device 203 for converting a DC power of a main battery 205 into an AC power and driving an electric motor 202; a smoothing capacitor 204 connected in parallel to the inverter; inverter control means 208 for controlling charging/discharging of the capacitor and controlling the inverter; a sub battery 206 for supplying power to the control means; a DC/DC converter 100 for lowering the voltage of the main battery and charging the sub battery; and DC/DC converter control means 209 for controlling the power of the DC/DC converter. The DC/DC converter control means comprises conversion efficiency lowering means 210 for performing control in such a manner that the loss of DC/DC converter is greater during a discharging operation of the capacitor than during a normal operation.
