Abstract:
To provide a vehicle recording device and an information recording method, capable of enhancing analysis properties of an accident cause while suppressing a storage amount of data.SOLUTION: An operation recording unit 30 includes an information acquisition part G1, a recording object setting part G2, and a recording processing part G3. The information acquisition part G1 acquires a plurality of kinds of information that can be recording objects from sensors mounted on a vehicle. The recording object setting part G2 changes the recording objects according to an operation mode of an automatic driving ECU 20. The recording processing part G3 sequentially stores data for items corresponding to the recording objects set by the recording object setting part G2 in a data storage part Mm. The items to be the recording objects are changed according to the operation mode, and thus data low in usefulness can be excluded from the recording objects in cause analysis and the like of an accident and the like. As a result, a data amount to be stored can be suppressed. In addition, the items necessary for the cause analysis can be left as the recording objects.
