PURPOSE: To easily mount a vehicle roof carrier on the roof of a vehicle without damaging the vehicle.

CONSTITUTION: A carrier main body 2 which extends in the cross direction of a vehicle has support legs 5 provided at both right and left ends thereof, and a clamp 3 is connected to each support leg 5 in such a manner as to be rotatable in a direction toward or away from the vehicle. A hook 3c is formed at the lower end of the clamp 3, and a drip channel 6 formed on the side of the roof can be sandwiched between the hook and the lower end of each support leg 5. Further, brackets 10 are provided on both right and left sides of the bottom surface of the clamp 3, and a mounting piece 11 having a wheel 12 attached thereto is engaged with the bracket 10 in such a manner as to be slidable from the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The carrier main body 2 is mounted on the vehicle while the wheel 12 is rolled on the roof from one to the other side.
