To provide a vehicle safety-supporting device capable of effectively maintaining an awakening state by accurately grasping the awakening state of a driver, according to the present invention.SOLUTION: According to a vehicle safety-supporting device relating to one embodiment of the present invention, the vehicle safety-supporting device that maintains an awakening state of a vehicle-driving driver comprises a first non-contact sensor capable of detecting a heartbeat of the driver; a second non-contact sensor capable of determining sleepiness of the driver and of detecting other physical states excluding the heartbeat; a determination part for determining the awakening state of the driver from detection results of the first sensor and the second sensor; a stimulation-generating part capable of generating a plurality of kinds of stimulation each exhibiting a different strength or kind for awakening the driver; a storage part for storing at least time change of the awakening state; and a control part for giving the stimulation to the driver by selecting at least one from among the plurality of kinds of stimulation at the stimulation-generating part, based on the time change of the awakening state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
