Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular rear wheel suspension system having a sufficiently large rear axle load to a rebound stroke, and satisfying a tilt angle of a middle axle.
SOLUTION: A pair of struts 41 united to both end walls of a final reduction gear case 51 is supported to a vehicular frame 2 at upper ends thereof through bushes 4. A front arm 5 extending forward and a rear arm 15 extending rearward are united to a case 9 of a constant velocity shaft joint 9a coupling an output gear shaft 52 and the rear axle 55 of the final reduction gear through the middle axle 54. A rear end portion of a plate spring 13 journaled to the vehicular frame 2 is overlapped and united with the front arm 5, and a barrel- shaped spring 16 is interposed between the rear arm 15 and the vehicular frame 2. A pair of the right and left rear arms 15 are coupled by De Dion cylinder 19, and a Panhard rod 21 is coupled to one rear end of the De Dion cylinder 19 and the vehicular frame 2 on the other side respectively through bushes 20, 22.
