Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality and durability of a suspension device utilizing electromagnetic force caused by a magnet and a coil.
SOLUTION: An air spring device comprises an upper case 23 of which upper end portion is fixed to a piston rod 13 and supported through an upper support 26 on a vehicle body BD, a lower case 24 of which lower end portion is fixed on the outer periphery of an outer cylinder 11, and a connecting case 25 made of a diaphragm which connects the upper case 23 and the lower case 24 together to define an air chamber R4 inside the upper case 23. A coil assembly which houses therein a plurality of coils 42 is fixed on the inner periphery of the upper case 23 at the lower portion. A cylindrical support member 35 is erected on the upper end portion of the lower case 24, and magnets 36 and 31 are fixed on the outer periphery of the support member 35 to face the coils 42. The electromagnetic force caused by the coils 42 and the magnets 36 and 37 is utilized to restrict the vertical relative motion of the body BD to a lower arm LA.
