A vending machine payment system 10 includes: a server having an order receiving unit which receives commodity order data from a user terminal, a determination process unit which receives a payment request from a vending machine, collates biological information with a second table, identifies a corresponding user ID, collates the identification information of the vending machine with a first table, and determines whether or not the identification information of the vending machine is associated with the user ID identified, and a payment process unit which, if the identification information of the vending machine is associated with the user ID in the first table, specifies the commodity order data in a storage device, sends the payment request to an information processing apparatus of a clearing facility, acquires a payment result, and sends the result back to the vending machine; and a vending machine which sends the payment request including the user's biological information and the identification information of the vending machine to the server and which then receives and outputs the payment result.
