PURPOSE: To prevent the inflow of a returned liquid coolant and ensure the lubrication to an upper bearing by providing a liquid coolant receiver facing the opening part of the upper discharge pipe of an upper bearing housing, and providing an oil feed passage between the receiver and the bearing housing.
CONSTITUTION: When a coolant discharged from a compressing element 4 is released to a high pressure chamber 7 through the air gap 2a of a motor 2, the discharged coolant is collided with the inner wall surface of a casing 1 to separate the lubricating oil mixed in the coolant, and the separated lubricating oil flows from the upper surface of an upper bearing housing 5 to a bearing 6 along a recessed part 51 forming an oil feed passage 10 to lubricate it. On the other hand, the high pressure chamber 7 has a liquid coolant receiver 9 for receiving the returned liquid coolant from the discharge pipe 8 facing the opening of the discharge pipe 8. When the liquid coolant from a coolant system is returned from the discharge pipe 8 to the high pressure chamber after the operation of the compressor is stopped, the returned liquid coolant is received by the liquid coolant receiver 9 to prevent the coolant from flowing from the oil feed passage 10 into the bearing 6, and the oil component of the bearing 6 can be prevented from being carried away by this inflow.
