Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration barrel polishing method capable of finishing a work without dents and at a sufficient degree of glossiness even after removing finishing marks before barrel polishing.
SOLUTION: In the method, the work 2 is polished by a vibration barrel 1. The work 2 is polished by a mixed medium comprising non-spherical polishing stones 3 with a mean particle diameter of ≥2 mm and ≤10 mm, and abrasive grains 4 with a particle diameter of a particle size #1000 or less. After polishing the work 2 by the mixed medium comprising the non-spherical polishing stones 3 with the mean particle diameter of ≥2 mm and ≤10 mm and the abrasive grains 4 with the particle diameter of a particle size #1000 or less, the work 2 is polished by a medium with only the non-spherical polishing stones 3 with the mean particle diameter of ≥2 mm and ≤10 mm.
