Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vibration-damping composition which can be applied by coating or spraying by using a mixture comprising a water-based asphalt and a polyvinyl acetate emulsion as the principal component.
SOLUTION: This composition mainly consists of a mixture comprising a water-based asphalt and a polyvinyl acetate emulsion. It is desirable that the mixing ratio of the water-based asphalt to the polyvinyl acetate emulsion is 1/1 to 1/2. It is desirable that 30-60 pts.wt. flaky inorganic filler (e.g. desirably mica) is added to 100 pts.wt. above principal component.
