Abstract:
To provide a vibration type actuator, a device, a multi-axis stage unit, and an articulated robot, capable of preventing unwanted vibrations from occurring on the vibration type actuator and increasing output per volume.SOLUTION: The vibration type actuator comprises a vibration body including an elastic body and an electromechanical energy conversion element and a contact body long in a predetermined direction and in contact with the vibration body. The vibration type actuator has a configuration in which the vibration body and the contact body move relatively in the predetermined direction by the vibrations of the vibration body. An end portion of the long contact body is covered circumferentially with respect to the predetermined direction by a viscoelastic body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
