Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the quantity of parts for enhancing assembly capability and restraining cost by connecting a head section and a retaining section to each other by means of such a connecting body as cylindrically formed with synthetic resin, and providing a reinforcement body within the connecting body.
CONSTITUTION: A retaining section 1 is cylindrically formed with half-split bodies 1a of approximately U-shaped cross section jointed to each other, and houses a control circuit board 11, a power supply switch 12 or the like. Also, a switch knob 13 is mounted on the external surface of the section 1. A head section 2 is constituted of a substrate 2a jointed and fixed to a connecting body 3, a lid body 2b fitted to the forward end of the section 2, a cushion cover 15 pressed to the affected part of a patient and so mounted as to cover the substrate 2a and lid body 2b. A plurality of collar pieces 6 continuous in a peripheral direction are formed on the intermediate external surface of the connecting body 3, and a connecting section 17 coupled to the retaining section 1 is formed at one end of the body 3. Also, another connecting section 18 coupled to the head section 2 is formed at the other end of the body 3. A reinforcement body 4 is made of a rib 4b laid on the internal surface of the body 3 in a direction perpendicular to the lengthwise direction thereof.
