Title:
VIBRATION TYPE TORQUE SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6381235
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a frequency signal which is easily converted into a digital signal with simple structure by measuring the natural vibration frequency of a vibrator between the 1st support body and the 2nd support body installed in its hollow part. CONSTITUTION:The 2nd support body 22 is installed in the hollow part 21 of the 1st support body 20 as shown in a figure (a) and the vibrator 23 is fixed to both support bodies 20 and 22. Further, an element 24 which excites the vibrator 23 and an element 25 which detects its vibration frequency is mounted on an end part of the vibrator 23. Further, the support body 20 of a torque sensor 30 is fixed to a fixture 31 with a screw 33 in the constitution in a figure (b) for measuring torque and a coupling 34 is joined with the support body 22. An LPF 35 and an AGC circuit 36 are connected to the element 25 and the output of the circuit 36 is led out as a frequency signal and inputted to the element 24, thereby controlling its phase and gain so that the vibrator 23 excites itself to have flexural vibration. Then when torque is inputted to the coupling 34, tensile or compressive force is applied to the vibrator 23 and the natural vibration frequency is detected by the element 25 to measure the input torque.
