Title:
VIBRATION WELDING OF POLYAMIDE RESIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08118474
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a product high in welding strength by using polyamide resins one of which has a higher flexural modulus of elasticity than the other.

CONSTITUTION: Polyamide resins are nylon resins with a flexural modulus elasticity of 25000-140000kgf/cm2 and one of them has a flexural modulus of elasticity higher than that of the other one of them. As a result, a product high in vibration welding strength is obtained. The material high in the flexural modulus of elasticity is reinforced by a glass fiber. By subjecting materials different in the modulus of elasticity to vibration welding, heat is efficiently generated and both materials are welded so that the mutual interfaces of them are meshed. When there are two kinds of materials different in the modulus of elasticity, it is effective that the difference between the moduli of elasticity is 15000kgf/cm2. When polyamide resins of a different kind are welded, the flexural modulus of elasticity of a resin having a higher m.p. is made low to enhance strength. At the time of welding, the resins are preheated to 80-100°C.
