Abstract:

To provide a stereoscopic photographing method adopting a 3-camera system where three video cameras especially with the same optical performance are used and one camera controls the other two cameras and to provide the stereoscopic photographing video camera.

In the stereoscopic photographing video camera adopting a 3-camera system, three cameras are placed to form a so-called isosceles triangle where the left and right cameras 1, 3 are placed at an equal distance from an object and the center camera 2 is placed at a midpoint of the left and right cameras 1, 3. The center camera 2 detects information such as a focal point and a parallax angle, a section arithmetic means based on the parallax angle discriminates to which section a camera belongs from the detection result and the left right cameras are controlled by the discrimination result in this 3-camera system.
