To provide a video display device which improves display performance of PC content in dual-screen display using two different units.
A TV unit 10 of a television set 1 with built-in PC includes a control information communication section 18 which transmits a request to acquire a second video image to a PC unit 20, a content receiving section 16 which acquires the second video image transmitted from a second video image generating unit receiving the acquisition request transmitted from the control information communication section 18, a content synthesizing section 14 which generates a display video image containing at least a part of the second video image acquired by the content receiving section 16 while one pixel of the second video image corresponds to one dot of the display section and a first video image generated by the PC unit 20, and a video image output section 11 which displays the display video image generated by the content synthesizing section 14 on the display section.
