Abstract:

To suppress an occurrence of a failure in display due to a reverse tilt domain while suppressing a change in an image due to correction of an input video signal even when the input video signal represents the image that is moved by one pixel per one frame.

A video processing circuit 30 comprises: a first boundary detecting section for detecting a boundary between a first pixel having an applied voltage specified by an input video signal of a current frame less than a first voltage and a second pixel having the applied voltage not less than a second voltage greater than the first voltage in a normally-black mode; and a correcting section for correcting a video signal specifying an applied voltage to a liquid crystal element corresponding to the first pixel brought into contact with the boundary to a video signal specifying a voltage that is not less than a third voltage and less than the second voltage in a case where any of M pieces of the first pixels, where M is an integer not less than 2, continued from the first pixel brought into contact with the boundary detected by the first boundary detecting section toward a direction opposite to the boundary is less than the third voltage lower than the first voltage.
