To attain the reproduction display of a corrected video image in response to a rotary angle of an image pickup camera by adopting a rotary angle detection means for a video recorder, a video reproducing device and a video recording and reproducing device.
A camera signal processing circuit 14 generates a video signal S2 from an imager signal S1. On the other hand, a rotary angle signal S3 detected by a rotary angle detection section 18 is processed by a microprocessor 21 and sent as rotary angle data D1. The rotary angle data D1 and the video signal S2 according to the data D1 are recorded by a recording circuit 16. In the case of reproduction, the video signal S2 recorded by a recording circuit 16 and the rotary angle data D1 are reproduced and a video signal processing circuit applies rotation processing to the data. The video data subject to rotation processing and an address signal are fed to a monitor via a prescribed circuit or the like. The convenience of use at image pickup is improved as to rotation of a video image by the video recording device in this way.
