Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the collapse of pictures by adjusting the gradient of the pictures.
CONSTITUTION: A reference signal which fluctuates corresponding to a luminance level equal to a threshold value or more is inputted to a comparing means 3 by a reference signal adjustment means 2 and when an input signal exceeds it, the amplification factor of a video correction means 4 for amplifying luminance signals is changed. Thus, accompanying with the luminance signals, the amplification degree of the video correction means 4 is changed and appropriate gradient correction can be performed.
