Abstract:
PURPOSE:To shorten the time spent in access by recording and reproducing various programs after delaying them by a time corresponding to integer-fold reduced pitch of reduced tracks which are formed by dividing equally the pitch of a recording track. CONSTITUTION:When recording in the first mode is selected by an operation part 26, a tape is fed in the same speed as the normal recording mode, and signals outputted from a recording part 12 are recorded as a program (a) on a reduced track 6 of a reduced pitch W4 obtained by dividing equally the pitch of the fundamental track into three. In recording in the second mode, a switching contact of a switching part 21 is switched to connect a delay circuit 20 to a running control part 22. Then, the control part 22 is operated after the delay of a prescribed time by a reproducing control signal outputted from a reproducing part 18, and a track where a program (b) is recorded is formed in a position adjacent to each track where the program (a) is recorded. In the third mode, individual tracks where a program (c) is recorded are formed adjacently to individual tracks where the program (b) is recorded.
