CONSTITUTION: When a camera 3 image-picks-up an original while extending an arm and a picture is transmitted, a gravity detecting device 101 detects that the lens hole of the camera 3 faces to a drooping direction, a contact detector 102 detects that the camera and a video telephone main body are separated and a central control unit 104 judges that the camera image-picks-up the inverted image of an object. Accordingly, image information stored in a frame memory 23 is transferred to a transmitter 26 as an erecting image to the object and outputted to a public telephone circuit network 28 through a circuit controller 27.
