A video viewing support system comprises: a means 102 for storing a keyword corresponding to a prescribed video portion; a means 101 for acquiring text data corresponding to an acquired video image; a means 101 for identifying the video portion corresponding to the keyword in the video image acquired by checking the text data with the keyword; a means 103 for dividing the video image for each topic; a means for creating a thumbnail, the keyword, and a key sentence corresponding to each divided video image for each divided video image; a means 105 for concealing at least one portion of the thumbnail corresponding to the identified video portion, the keyword, and the key sentence; a means 106 for presenting a plurality of divided video images and a set of thumbnails, keywords, and key sentences corresponding to each video image; and means 107, 108 for selecting a set from the presented set of video images.
