Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make the eyelines of talkers coincident with each other by projecting an opposite video image displayed on a television receiver on a semitransparent reflecting mirror in a 2-way transmitter for a television conference or a television telephone set and using a television camera to photograph the talkers through the reflecting mirror. CONSTITUTION:The semitransparent reflecting mirror 2 tilted for a prescribed angle is provided above a television receiver 1 arranged in a way that a screen is placed horizontally and a television camera 3 is arranged on the rear side of the reflecting mirror 2 in opposition to the talker. Moreover, the reflecting mirror is formed by applying thin vapor deposition of aluminum onto the face of a transparent glass plate at the side of the television camera 3. In the video equipment constituted in this way, the errected image of the talkers is displayed on the opposite television receiver 1 with each other. By applying talking while facing the reflecting mirror with the image projected thereupon, the eyelines of both the talkers are nearly coincident with each other and the same effect as the talking opposed directly to each other is attained.
