Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a vinyl chloride resin elastomer composition containing a vinyl chloride resin, an acrylic rubber containing a crosslinked component insoluble in THF, an acrylic resin, a plasticizer having a specific molecular weight, etc., and having low compression set and high creep resistance, weatherability thermal aging resistance and strength.
CONSTITUTION: This vinyl chloride resin elastomer composition having excellent physical properties such as compression set, creep resistance, weather resistance, thermal aging resistance and tear strength is produced by using (A) 100 pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride-based resin (e.g. vinyl chloride resin) having an average polymerization degree of 700-8,000, (B) 10-200 pts.wt. of an acrylic rubber containing ≥30wt.% of a component insoluble in tetrahydrofuran, (C) 1-50 pts.wt. of an acrylic resin (e.g. a methyl, methacrylate/alkyl acrylate copolymer) and (D) 30-300 pts.wt. of a plasticizer having a weight-average molecular weight of ≥430 [e.g. tri(2-ethylhexyl) trimellitate] as main components and mixing and kneading the components at 100-230°C.
