Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject disinfectant composed mainly of a lower alcohol, containing a carboxyvinyl polymer as a subsidiary component, having proper viscosity to prevent the dripping in disinfection treatment, high disinfection effect and low skin stimulation and suitable for the treatment of hand, etc., of persons engaged in medical service, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The objective disinfectant contains a lower alcohol such as ethanol as a main component (in an amount of preferably 50-90vol.%) and preferably 0.1-1g (based on 100 mL of the disinfectant) of a carboxyvinyl polymer. The disinfectant is preferably further incorporated with a small amount of benzalkonium chloride.
