Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a system and method with improved visualization customized for an object oriented software system.
CONSTITUTION: A method 230 of an object oriented system is automatically complied by method hooks 260 and 270, which generate graphical information which is visualized by a graphical interface. When the method hooks 260 and 270 are executed, the occurrence of a prepared and destroyed object instance 205 and a started or ended method 230 is indicated. The method hooks 260 and 270 start the execution of a monitoring function using a visualized script 285 equipped with a rule for updating the graphical information and the visualization. The update is adapted to the present state of the visualized object instance 205. The visualization also is corrected by the change of the rule or the monitoring function of a constraint item.
