Abstract:
To provide a structural analog of vitamin D having selective activity for cell proliferation and cell differentiation without showing the characteristics of hypercalciuria.
Two new organic compounds, analogs of vitamin D such as 3-hydroxymethyl-5-{2-[3-(5-hydroxy-5-methylhexyl)-phenyl]vinyl}phenol and 3-[3-(5-hydroxy-1, 5-dimethylhexyl)phenoxymethyl]-5-hydroxymethylphenol are provided. These compounds are used for producing remedies for dermatosis and the like.
