Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the voltage controlled oscillator whose output clock hardly has a timewise fluctuation even in the presence of a characteristic in an amplifier element and an exclusive OR circuit being components of the voltage controlled oscillator the phase locked loop circuit and the phase locked loop circuit using the voltage controlled oscillator.
CONSTITUTION: The voltage controlled oscillator is made up of a voltage controlled variable delay device D(8) in which eight sets of 1st amplifier elements AP1(1)-(8) having input signal line pairs, output signal line pairs and a control signal line or over to control a delay time are connected so that the input signal line pairs and the output signal line pairs are connected to each other thereby controlling the delay time till the signal is transferred from the reference input signal line pair to a reference output signal line pair 103, and up of two voltage controlled oscillators P(4), P(2) in which 2nd amplifier elements AP2(1)-(4) having 1st input terminal pairs and 2nd input terminal pairs corresponding to the input signal line pairs of the 8-sets of the 1st amplifier elements AP1(1)-(8) to which a phase correction device to connect or interrupt switch elements is connected are connected in a ring so as to be oscillated through the connection of the input signal line pairs and the output signal line pairs.
