Abstract:
PURPOSE: To realize the voltage controlled oscillator with a small circuitry, possible for circuit integration and a low jitter by forming a variable capacitor through the combination of a fixed capacitor and a MOS transistor(TR) controlled by an analog control voltage.
CONSTITUTION: An output terminal and an input terminal of an amplifier 21 are connected via a piezoelectric vibrator 22 and a resistor 27 and each of the output terminal and the input terminal is connected to capacitors 23, 24 via MOS TRs 25, 26 respectively. An analog control voltage is inputted to gates of the MOS TRs 25, 26 and the apparent capacitance is changed by changing the analog control voltage to change the oscillating frequency.
