PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage supply control method capable of avoid a possibility that an output to a lamp loading such as particularly a tail lamp and a stop lamp of a vehicle lamp is turned off by an erroneous decision using a semiconductor relay system constituted by a heat shield circuit self-contained type MOSFET.
SOLUTION: A power source voltage Vb from a battery loaded on a vehicle is supplied and an output becomes an ON state by a turn on command to a lamp loading in Step S1. A micro-computer monitors a loading current of a lamp loading, the power source voltage Vb and a gate potential of a heat shield circuit self-contained type MOSFET (Step S4, S5, S6). At this time, it is decided that the loading current Is does not show zero, the power source voltage Vb is a defined value, e.g. 8 V or less and a source voltage signal s6 is an earth level or more, a step is advanced to Step 15 and a count of over-heat shielding detection number is not carried out by an over heat shielding counter. Namely, in the case where the power source voltage Vb during monitoring is the defined value, i.e. 8 V or less, a detection of over-heat shielding is automatically carried out. Accordingly, there is no concern for risk that the lighting output to the loading lamp is turned off based on erroneous decision that decrease of the power source voltage Vb is caused by an over-heat shielding of the heat shielding circuit self-contained type MOSFET 3.
