To provide a walking stick having a plurality of legs which can be opened and closed quickly and lightly with the walking stick and the hand gripping the walking stick with keeping the hand gripping the stick.

In the upper lock state of a control lever 17, when approximate quarter rotation of the control lever 17 is operated and a lever rod 16 is rotated, the lower part of an unlock slope 14 is located in the position of a lock pin 36 and the catch of a lock pin engaging part 15 is disengaged into an unlock state. And a rotation return biasing means 21 is twisted and biasing force is produced (Fig.6(b)). An inner shaft 18, the lever rod 16, and the control lever 17 descend, and open and move legs 12a-12d by the biasing force of a leg return biasing means 27. When the unlock slope 14 by lowering movement passes the lock pin 36, the lever rod 16 and the control lever 17 is automatically returned to a position before rotation and is rotated by the return biasing force of the rotation return biasing means 21 (Fig.6(c)). The legs 12a-12d become an opening state.
