Title:
WALL MOUNTING MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10183830
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent various forms of vibration energy such as earthquakes, machine vibration and vibration due to means of transportation from propagating to walls by mounting the walls through a vibration isolating means to prevent vibration energy from being transmitted to the skeleton of a building.

When mounting a window sash 1, a window frame 20 is placed in the opening 2A of the ferroconcrete skeleton 2 of a building. And then, finishing is made by bolting the flanges 3A, 3B of a vibration isolating device 3 to the skeleton 2 and the window frame 10 and filling a mortar 8 and mounting is completed by incorporating shoji screens 15. Therefore, in case an earthquake occurs, the vibration isolating device 3 adsorbs earthquake forces, reducing the earthquake forces transmitted from the skeleton 2 to the window sash 1 and thereby prevents damage and breakage. The mechanism can prevent vibration from machines in a plant and vibration energy of vehicle from being transmitted to a window sash 1 and minimize damage of the earthquake.
