CONSTITUTION: In a wall paper pasting machine, paste in a pail being adhered to a pasting roll 9 is adjusted by driving a motor and the paste on the surface of the roll 9 is applied to the reverse side of a cloth. In this case, when pausing pasting operation, an upper mechanism body 2 is rotated upward and a drying- preventing sheet 30 is place on a plurality of rolls in a lower mechanism body 3 while a pasting machine body 1 is opened The drying-preventing sheet 30 is formed by laminating a water-retaining layer 30a and a non-breathing layer 30b. In this manner, by covering a part where paste is adhered with the drying- preventing sheet 30, water evaporation, drying, and hardening of paste can be prevented, thus eliminating the operation for washing the wall paper pasting machine after the operation is completed.
