PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of a malfunction by discriminating whether a photographing information code exists or not, and executing a warning based on its result.

CONSTITUTION: In a switch 9 for detecting whether camera photographing information code exists or not, in case the camera photographing information code exists, a contact 29 goes to an L level, and in case it does not exist, patterns 16, 22 have insulating property, and the contact 29 goes to an H level. In case of using a film in which the camera photographing information code is not recorded, the switch 9 is opened, and one gate of an AND gate goes to an H level by a pull-up resistance 10. This signal is inputted to a camera information selecting and setting circuit, too, and photographing information from a manual photographing information inputting circuit is selected, and inputted to an operation controlling circuit of a camera. When a control signal from the operation controlling circuit is applied to the other gate of the AND gate, its control signal is applied to the base of a transistor 12, and a current flowing to an LED13 is controlled.
