Title:
WARNING INDICATOR FOR VEHICLE RAIL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS54157911
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To accomplish clear indication of rails on which vehicles run in marshalling yards or the like by means of a plurality of indication means provided along the rails in such a manner as to be activated according to a signal from the signal equipment.

CONSTITUTION: A depot 2 with a workshop 3 and an inspection shed 4 is provided close to main lines 1a and 1b. When a course is set as shown by the thick line 5 for entry of a vehicle to the inspection shed, an indication lamp as shown by the mark X comes on the moment a signal is sent from a signal equipment to allow the advancing of the vehicle. At the same time, a nearly alarm 9 provided on the course is actuated. The indication lamp is mounted to the top of a sleeper 12 on the railbed ballast 13 as shown by 7a to 7d while the alarm is installed on a plug erected between rails. This ensures safe operation with a very simple construction.
