A warp feeding method in a loom in which a delivering device 5 and a winding device 8 use as a drive source a delivering motor 5c and a winding motor 8c independent of a main driving motor of the loom, respectively, the method comprises: carrying out a warp feeding operation by driving the delivering motor 5c and the winding motor 8c while the main driving motor being stopped, and detecting tension of a warp during the warp feeding operation; comparing a warp tension value based on the detection with a preset reference value of warp tension; and, when the warp tension value deviates from the reference value, carrying out tension control for returning the warp tension to the reference value, according to a control aspect preset by applying the delivering motor 5c and the winding motor 8c as control targets.
