Abstract:
To provide a waste developer recovery device that prevents wear of a bearing of a screw conveyor due to a carrier in a waste developer in an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: In order to prevent a waste developer falling onto a screw 1 from an inclined part 33 of a conveyance tube connected with an opening 22 that is formed in the vicinity of a bearing member 24 at an end on the upstream side of a casing of a screw conveyor, from rebounding on a surface 11b on the upstream side in a conveyance direction of a blade of the screw and reaching a bearing of the bearing member 24, a waste developer recovery device provides a regulation member 34 on a vertical surface above a rotation shaft of the screw so that the waste developer falls into an area where a surface 11a on the downstream side faces upward, and thereby the inclined part 33 and a main body 21 of the casing are communicated with each other only in the area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3B
