Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent discharging high toxic dioxins by adding a chloride- containing medium in an incineration atmosphere to forcibly chlorinate various dioxins generated in a high temp. incineration to replace with low toxic dioxins.
SOLUTION: An air blower 2a is forcibly blowing air to an incineration furnace 1 from a feed port 2b of the furnace and air in an excess of that required in a usual incineration is supplied. And a salt water in a salt water tank 3a is pumped up by a pump 3b and supplied by being sprayed into the incineration furnace 1 through a salt water feed line 3c from a spraying nozzle 3e. In the midway of the salt water feed line 3c, a valve 3d for controlling feed quantity is arranged. The high toxic dioxin generated in the incineration furnace 1 reacts with sodium chloride in the salt water sprayed and mixed in the combustion gas to be converted into the chlorinated low toxic dioxin. At this time, the temp. of the combustion gas is kept to 500-700°C by a temp. holding means 5.
