To enable suppressing energy costs, as well as effectively using wastes as biogas and recycled materials.SOLUTION: A waste treatment method subjects a part of a waste 1A being a methane fermentation object material 10B with a high water content to methane fermentation to generate biogas G that can be converted into energy such as heat and electricity, and simultaneously mixes a methane fermentation residue 110 remaining after methane fermentation, with the rest of the waste 1A being a low water content solid sorting residue 10A, and also with a bulk density adjusting material 2 and a microbial adhering material 3 together to form an aerobic fermentation object product 100, and subjects the aerobic fermentation object product to methane fermentation and drying to produce a solid fuel raw material 210 and/or a compost raw material 220.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
