To provide a waste water treatment apparatus that can effectively prevent granules from flowing out from a reactor.
The waste water treatment apparatus includes: a reactor main unit 21 that has an introduction opening in the bottom thereof; waste water supply means 2, 3 and L1 that supply waste water into the reactor main unit through the introduction opening to form a rising flow of the waste water in the reactor main unit; a granule unit 22 that feeds anaerobic microorganisms into the water in the reactor main unit and precipitate the anaerobic microorganisms to form a fluidized bed of granules comprising anaerobic microorganisms staying in the lower part of the reactor main unit; a carrier part 25 that is disposed above the granule part in the reactor body and has a carrier capable of supporting anaerobic microbes; treated water discharge means 27, L2 that discharge treated water to above the carrier part; and gas-solid-liquid separation parts 10, 10A-10F, 11, 11A, 12, 16, 20, 50 and 51 that separate the granules, suspended substances and gas sticking thereupon.
