PURPOSE: To obtain a water in oil type emulsion cosmetic excellent in affinity to the skin when applied to the skin, free from stickiness and having a refreshing feeling in use.
CONSTITUTION: This water in oil type emulsion cosmetic contains a spherical powder of an organopolysiloxane elastomer having 1.0 to 15.0-μm, preferably 1.0 to 10.0μm average particle diameter in an amount of 0.1 to 30.3wt.%, preferably 1.0 to 20.0wt.% based on the whole cosmetic. As the curable organopolysiloxane composition which is the raw material of the spherical powder, an addition reaction type substance is preferably used. A composition composed of (A) an organopolysiloxane having two or more lower alkenyl groups in one molecule, (B) an organopolysiloxane having two or more H atoms bonded to Si in one molecule and (C) a platinum-based catalyst is especially preferable. This cosmetic may contain a pigment powder other than the spherical powder of organopolysiloxane and the total mixture ratio is preferably 0.1 to 60.0wt.%, especially preferably 1.0 to 60.0wt.%.
