Abstract:
To provide a water intake device capable of preventing the collapse of a water channel and controlling the water intake to a permitted water intake even when a large amount of water flows into the water channel due to water discharge or the like.SOLUTION: The present invention comprises a water intake gate 11 for adjusting the amount of river water W taken in, a first water level gauge 17 for detecting the upstream water level of the water intake gate 11, a second water level gauge 19 for detecting the water level of a water conduit 115 located downstream of the water intake gate 11, a water intake gate control device 31 for controlling opening degree of the water intake gate 11 based on the outputs of the first water level gauge 17 and the second water level gauge 19, an excess water intake prevention gate 21 installed in the water conduit 115 downstream of the second water level gauge 19, and an excess water intake prevention gate control device 41 for controlling opening degree of the excess water intake prevention gate 21 based on the output of the second water level gauge 19.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
