PURPOSE: To dispense with a water leakage detection cable, simplify an electric circuit and reduce the cost of equipment, by providing a leakage circuit breaker to detect the leakage of electrical current from the wiring of a motor to inform water leakage.
CONSTITUTION: Water, which has leaked due to the damage or deterioration of a machanical seal 12, stays in an angular-bottom recess 14 around an end bracket 13. A water leakage detection electrode 15 is provided in an appropriate part of the angular-bottom recess 14 and connected to the wiring of the motor M so that the electrical current leaks when the leaked water comes into contact with the electrode 15. The leakage of the electrical current is detected by the leakage circuit breaker 16 installed on the side of a power source so that the leakage is informed to the outside. Therefore, no water liakage detection cable is needed and the equipment cost is reduced.
