Title:
WATER LEVEL MEASURING APPARATUS AND SENSOR THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3820106
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water level measuring apparatus and a water level measuring sensor which has a sensor constituted as a machine mechanism utilizing the optical polarization, not needing any electronic circuit, never suffers from accidents such as thunderbolt and induced lightning, ascribed to the connection to a ground converter through optical fibers, and is low in manufacturing cost and easy in maintenance.
SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a water level measuring sensor 1 composed of a pressure detecting means 3 having a pressure receptor 9 moving according to the difference between the atmospheric pressure and a water pressure, and a means 4 for transmitting a light to the receptor 9 and receiving a reflected light therefrom; and a converter for converting a light transmitted via optical fibers from the transmitting and receiving means 4 to a water level output.
